So I got back from Cancun last Wednesday night around 1:30 am. Let me just
say that it was the best week of my life. Nothing is going to compare to
Cancun now so I'm on the brink of telling my dad that I don't even want to go
to Maine this summer...just kidding but you catch my drift. My first night
there was an instant party of course, I mean it had to be to kick start the
week. A quick recap of my time in Cancun; I got up around 8 everyday, took a
shower, either ordered in room service for breakfast or went down to the
buffet, went to the pool and got a drink at the swim-up bar and either laid out
or played beach volleyball or pool volleyball, went back to the room around
6ish, got ready for dinner, changed and went out. The clubs there are freaking
amazing. The main ones are Senor Frogs (where I went down a water slide into to
the lagoon and huge upside down from my ankles), Coco Bongo, and The City. I
also swam with the dolphins named Flex and Lucas, and went jet skiing. I can’t
even tell you everything because I would end up writing a book but I met the
coolest people down there as well. Some were from London, Peru and lots and
lots of French-Canadians from Toronto and Montreal, even some people from Cali,
Detroit, Penn, and Atlanta. Our hotel room connected to another room and when
we opened it one day was when Alyssa and I met our new best friends for the
week…Ramon, Alberto, Diego and Omar. They are from Monterrey, Mexico. Oh my
goodness, you know how I said I wasn’t fond of Mexicans, well I completely changed
my mind once I was in Cancun; the Mexicans there are nothing like the Mexicans
in the US. We had our own personal translators and tour guides for the week J
I had the time of my life and experienced some of the best things I could ever
imagine. Even our flight back home, which included being in airports and planes
for 17 hours, was the greatest thing. I cannot wait to go back next year and
every year after. So now that I’m back, all the stressors are hitting me and
I’m just going to go crawl in a hole because I don’t even know where to begin
doing the work I missed. I’m so far behind on this English portfolio and
regents in physics but I guess that’s the price I have to pay huh. So besides
the very important sectionals final game tomorrow in Syracuse and the Senior
Banquet, followed by the senior trip on Friday, this week is going to be
dedicated to English.
Ps. We only have 10 more days of school! College here I come. Cancun, I’ll
be back for you <3

ReplyDeleteThe question is, does Cancun want you back? :) (I typed this earlier, but misspelled a word so I deleted it before you could catch it! Ha ha ha ha!) I'm glad you had fun and didn't drink the water, by the way.
